The Aquastream 20" x 4.5" Stringwound Sediment Filter - 20 Micron is a cost effective sediment filter with exceptional contaminant loading capacity. This cartridge is Surfactant and Wetting-Agent free, and is constructed with NSF Certified Polypropylene fibre cord, suitable for drinking water applications, UV Disinfection and RO prefiltration. The Aquastream Polypropylene String Wound Filters ensure reduction of sand, silt, rust, dirt, and scale particles in water and other liquids. A polypropylene core in the centre of the filter strengthens the cartridge so it remains rigid, even when operating at high pressures. The polypropylene string is wound in a precise pattern around the core to create a range of pore sizes which is graded finer and finer as the water makes its way through the filter. This method of construction enables the whole depth of the filter media to be utilised to trap contaminants, resulting in longer filter life and fewer change-outs.
